During National Crime Victims Rights Week, we are hosting a conference that focuses on victims/survivors of violent crime in the Brazos Valley.  The conference agenda includes a box lunch session on the 16th and a Keynote speaker Luncheon featuring Texas EquuSearch and Recovery Team (www.texasequusearch.org) on April 17th (lunch provided).   There will be breakaway sessions on many topics dealing with crime victims and responders, including a network session on April 17th.  The 24th Annual Candle Vigil for sexual assault survivors will be held at 5:45pm on April 17th at A&M Church of Christ to  wrap up the conference.  The Rape Crisis Center, Brazos Valley has partnered with the Brazos County Health Department, College Station Police Department, Texas A&M University Police Department, Brazos County District Attorney's Office, Bryan Police Department, Brazos County Attorney's Office, and Twin City Mission, Domestic Violence Services to provide education and training to law enforcement, medical community, prosecutors, victim advocates, and the community at large to help work with all areas of crime victims.  A more complete speaker schedule will be forthcoming.
